Ornamental Characteristics:
A truly outstanding species that completely sets itself apart from the typical hybrids found in the market (Abelia x grandiflora). Large panicles of white and wonderfully fragrant flowers terminate the ends of each branch, putting on a fantastic show for summer. I have seen this plant growing in Bernheim Arboretum (Clermont, KY) and Morton Arboretum (Lisle, IL), verifying is hardiness and unique qualities.
