This dwarf plant is located at Bernheim Arboretum as a witches' broom
in one of their plants in the collection. Ben vividly remembers being
hoisted in a bucket truck to collect the first scion wood.
White Hall, in Louisville, KY, has on of the original grafts planted
out. The plant is maintaining a more shrubby appearance,
which has been the case with our grafted liners in the nursery. This
trait makes Bernheim Broom a great candidate for todays smaller gardens.
Fall color, environmental adaptability and pest resistance all are the
same as the straight species, excellent.
