Gelsemium sempervirens                                          Carolina Jasmine

 Size:  ~20’ tall

Exposure:  Full Sun to Part Shade

Flower:  Yellow in May

Okay, we are well aware the envelope is being pushed.  C.J. is not known to be completely hardy in our area, but Tony Nold has had his plant for about 7 years.  This is where we took our cuttings from.  Even if you get 10 years out of this plant, it is well worth replanting.  The fragrant yellow flowers in May will guarantee this; not to mention its vigorous climbing abilities that can soften even the harshest of elements in the landscape.  Give it a try!
