 Ornamental Characteristics:

 Indigos are among the most indestructible of plants.  They can tolerate a wide range of soils and moisture levels.  During periods of extreme drought, the leaves may dry up, but the plant will return as soon as moisture is available.  I. gerardiana carries all these traits along with an extremely long bloom time of ~4” long spikes of lavender flowers.  Even when the flowers are not present, the gray-green foliage attributes greatly to the beauty of the garden.  Look for other species of Indigo coming soon from Sunny Ray’s Nursery.
