 Ornamental Characteristics:

 This plant has the same species characteristics as mentioned with Madonna, but different as described below.  The foliage of Sutherland Gold comes out in the spring with bright green coloration.  It does not look sick, but vibrant.  As the heat of summer encroaches, the color will fade to a light green, quicker so when placed in full sun.  Sutherland Gold is best treated as a cutback shrub to maintain compactness and color intensity.
