Originally selected for variegated leaves, Suttnerii has matured to express a more impressive trait…almost pure white bark!  Yeah, the green leaves mottled with chartreuse spots are interesting for the first year, until they raise themselves above eye level.

 Luckily, the bark makes up for us not being robins.  There are few other trees as striking as this selection in the garden.

 Suttenrii is susceptible to anthracnose like most other planetrees, but it does not kill the plant.
